American politics

For my own reference, and perhaps of interest to one or two people here.

The conservative movement as Pseudo Fascism.

No comments on it from me yet because I haven't had time to think it through. Could be right, could be wrong, but it seems to be worth evaluating.

This doesn't surprise me, any of it. And it all rings true from where I'm sitting in NJ.

I wouldn't call it pseudo-fascism, though. I'd call it "pre-fascism," because if Bush gets "re-elected" in November, all of the things this guy says the conservative movement doesn't have in common with fascism now WILL happen.

I'm not kidding. If Bush comes out on top in November, I'm moving my family it Canada, because the U.S. is finished.

If Bush wins in November, I'm tempted to start agitating for widespread guerilla training in Canada. That way, we might stand a fighting chance a decade from now when the U.S. invades us for our oil or water.
