onefixedstarSomewhere, a few weeks ago, I read a great criticism of functionalism that completely clarified for me why it's a problematic approach. I thought at the time that it would be wonderful to use in a paper I'm writing. Now I'm writing and can't remember where I read the argument, or even what it was.
