Easter weekend is apparently laundry weekend in my building, because every time I go down to the basement, someone's using the machines. Ah well, I washed my clothing a few days ago. I was hoping to do some household stuff, but that can wait.

I've been celebrating the weekend by watching my Babylon 5 DVDs. I was going to watch Buffy, but B5 called out to me at the last minute, claiming neglect, and so I popped it in instead. Funny--when I was a kid, I knew nothing about actors or what was being watched on TV or pop culture in general. I never bought magazines, I had no posters on my wall...and then along came the Internet and everything changed.

Today I'm going to do some work before heading up to see the family and celebrate reiber's birthday, one day early.

I was doing a random search, on account of I didn't have anything better (that I was willing to do in the moment) and so, stumbled across your journal. I couldn't help but notice a shocking number of interest-matches (including Samuel R. Delany - which baked the cake, as it were) and so I "friended" you. I hope you don't mind.

Indeed.Be forewared: my journal has been deadly-dull of late - but it might pick up at some (nebulous) point in the future. (Or not. Some friends, my girlfriend and several members of my family are now reading me; despite my best intentions, those facts have at least contributed to a certain reticense.)

But I have also been mostly happy, which can also lead to dull posts.

No worries on that count. My list of people I read is small enough that I almost never take people off; it simply doesn't take that long to go through. I will warn you in return that my journal has also been a bit slow of late, mostly because of a new relationship that consumes a large part of the time I used to spend online. But I hope you find something worthwhile here to read.
