I can no longer get Firefox to work with LiveJournal. Once I try to log in, Firefox refuses to render the page--all I see is HTML. I don't know if it's an issue with LJ or Firefox, but either way, it's annoying. For now I'm using Opera to access Firefox, but I don't really like the interface. Hmm, maybe back to IE?

What version of Firefox are you using? Maybe try reinstalling it?

I'm using 1.5.0.1, but was having the same problem with 1.5. This is the only site I'm currently having problems with. Back when 1.5 first came out, I had similar though less persistent problems with another site, as did many other users.

I may try reinstalling, but I'm not convinced it will help.

I think your problem is related to your Firefox browser. I'm running Firefox 1.5 and LJ is working fine. As a matter of fact, it has always worked without a hitch. Try using Standard Diagnostic (Firefox) (http://kb.mozillazine.org/Standard_diagnostic_%28Firefox%29) to detect the problem. It has worked for me everytime I encounter problems with Firefox.

Thanks for the advice! The reason I thought (and still think) it might be LJ is that the problem arose around the same time they started making the new security changes. Before that, it worked fine. But it could be that my Firefox just happened to break around that time.

I've gone through the steps up to the point when I have to start deleting things. I'm not sure yet whether I want to go to that trouble for the sake of one site...

Apparently the IE7 beta is sexy. My one friend who used to hate IE (he used Opera when IE5 was still the standard) and then switched to Firefox told me that he might go back to IE if it stays as nice in the final is it is in the beta.
